Remember the Alamo.

San Antonio, TX. We love this place! It’s where history and rustic romance collide into a spiritual experience of food, festival, and freedom.

Remember The Alamo….

How can one forget the courage of the strong-willed men and women of American’s early evolution who made the ultimate sacrifice inside the walls of the Alamo compound. As we strolled through the plaza, Carolers serenaded us with traditional songs of peace on earth and good will. It was inspiring.

We made our way to the River Walk along the San Antonio River under the streets of downtown. The sidewalks were lined with luminaries and the trees were adorned with festive lights twinkling in the reflection of the water. With so many fabulous restaurant choices along the river, we dined at Barriba Cantina, a Mexican inspired establishment overlooking the River Walk. Finally, a meal worth mentioning! With character and heat, the food was sensational, spicy, and satisfying.

For all the Bausch and Lomb employees who made the trip to San Antonio in the 90’s, Dick’s Last Resort is still situated along the River Walk and still entertaining out-of-towners. Memories…
